You're a mean one...

Day 1:
Danny:  Mommy, what's that Christmas movie with that mean guy in it, and the sled.
Me: Hmmmm, I think you mean the Grinch.
Danny: Oh, yeah, that's the one.

Day 2:
Danny: Mommy, can I watch the Scrunch after I get up from my nap?
Me: No, you have to wait till we get our Christmas boxes down. And I think you mean the Grinch.

Day 3:
Danny: Mommy, what's his name again, that guy? Oh, yeah, the Scrunch, I mean the Scrinch.
Me: (giggle, giggle) The Grinch?
Danny: Yeah, the Grinch.
Me: You know, I think I like it better when you call him the Scrinch.

He calls me "sweetheart"

Just another post about Danny...

Last week he called me sweetheart. Something happened and he said, "It's okay, sweetheart."

This week it's been,"I love you, sweetheart."

 Very sweet indeed.

16 - Hobbit style

Rachel wanted to have a Hobbit themed party to celebrate her 16th.

We loved every minute of it!

Mr. "Ed"

Just have to post this because as soon as this phase passes, I'll forget that he ever did it.

Danny has developed the cutest habit of adding "ed" to the end of ALL verbs he uses in the past tense so they sound like:

sleep-ded

eat-ded

run-ded

lose-ded

cry-ded

read-ed

cook-ded

play-ded

blow-ded

"Mommy, I blowded some bubbles."

"I cookded some applesauce."

"I sleepded with Fuzzy Wuzzy bear."

It's just so cute that I can't correct him. He'll grow out of it, right?

Then again, we are living in east Tennessee.

4 is fun!

All Hallow's Eve

Instead of trick-or-treating, the past five years we have been celebrating All Hallow's Eve with a party at home. We dress as a favorite saint and play games with saintly themes. Very fun.

It was really a great evening. We prayed the Litany of the Saints and remembered why the evening is called All Hallow's Eve.
